Jeff Price is a versatile photographer whose areas of expertise range from crime scenes to candids to concerts. His interest in photography began as a hobby, and he eventually earned a Technical Degree in the discipline from the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
While he has special expertise in the areas of medical and forensic photography, Jeff’s true passion lies in music and concert photography, in which he shows an uncanny ability to capture his subjects’ essence, emotion and character.
I had more enthusiasm than talent and they kicked me out, but I had a camera and that’s how it all began.
“I was in a start-up band and I played keyboards,” Price recalled. “Unfortunately, I had more enthusiasm than talent and they kicked me out, but I had a camera and that’s how it all began. Music photography satisfies my creative process, since I wasn’t good enough to play with those guys.”
A sought-after and charismatic craftsman, Jeff has captured images for major corporations including Clear Channel, Radio One and MTV, as well as Sony Music, Def Jam and Philadelphia International Records. Influential broadcasters Steve Harvey, Tom Joyner, Tavis Smiley, Wendy Williams and Michael Baisden are also among those who have made use of his services.
Jeff has been engaged to document such high profile events as the 2008 Olympic Gymnastics Trials, the Essence Awards and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Paul Simon, Prince and Earth, Wind & Fire. His work has been featured in such prestigious publications as “Vibe,” “The Source” and “XXL.”
